Mercury Launches Hackable Car Awareness Campaign
Mercury Insurance is launching a campaign to educate the public and policyholders about the dangers of ‘connected’ vehicles. Improvements in technology that often have the goal of making vehicles safer are turning cars into 4,000-pound computers on wheels, vulnerable to being hacked. This educational campaign alerts customers and consumers to the potential for vehicle cybercrimes and the steps they can take to protect their family and property.
